The first sighting of a dandelion in the yard means Spring is here.
My process: Began with an artsy paper. Added a foto blendz, stains, and white flourish, script and butterflies from a template. Recoloured these layers. Clipped my photo to foto blendz mask. Added floral brushes from ArtPlay Palette Amaranthine and coloured yellow. Created a title cluster with wordart and created a label for the words 'THE FIRST'. Added journaling which was limited to the date.

Love this!!!! We look forward to the first dandelions too! Mostly its bee food and we cant wait for them to bloom. Love seeing you celebrate what most see as weeds. The masked photo just pops.

Thank you! I was excited to see some colour other than snow white in the yard. I love seeing the dandelions in full bloom in the adjacent field. They look like a yellow carpet.

Yes, perfect description, a yellow carpet. That's what our yard looks like (hopefully soon) too. I always wanted a perfect green lawn, but honey bees mean I embrace and enjoy the dandelions.

Dandelions... one flower I can't kill! I think of them as yellow suns in the grass.

Great shot of a momentous occasion! ;) I also love the dandelions. I don't kill them, but I will mow them!
