May AJ Week 1 {Renew}

Our word prompt for May is RENEW. Although I didn't use the actual word, I think my layout shows that I'm trying to renew, through the word art that I chose to use. I used Just For Today by Vicki Robinson Designs, which is pretty much how I'm living my life right now. Just for today, I will smile, just for today, I will try to find joy.

I don't feel like getting dressed up and going to a nice restaurant, but I did recently, with my daughter and son-in-law and I really enjoyed myself in spite of myself. If I do let them talk me into going out, I'd rather go to our little local place where I can sit in the corner booth and wear a baseball cap if I want to.

A small step forward every day. Give yourself time, dear Cheryl! If the baseball cap or sweatpants count today, then that's totally fine! Breathe and find the positive for the day. Maybe there is another hobby that might interest you? Maybe you like pottery? Or have you always wanted to show off your voice and record a CD? Or even write a book? maybe a crime thriller. Or a children's book? In any case, I really like your layout.

You are so special, Susanne. You know, there's a country song by Trisha Yearwood called "Put it in Song" that has been intriguing me. It's about putting your heartbreak or sadness in a 3-minute song. That's so interesting that you suggest that among other things. I can't sing, but maybe I could write a poem instead.
