Little Chicks

On top of the goodies in each Easter bucket was nestled a hand-knit chicken.

This layout started with the extraction. I then dragged in a Multimedia Frame for one photo, then pirated a circle frame from the template for another. (While I was pirating, I lifted a couple of daffodils from the MM Frames I wasn't using, for embellishment.) An Artsy Transfer atop a solid paper forms the background, with the addition of peach Fotoglos from my collection for a little light and a few brushes for texture.

Yes, fabulous extraction! A worthy feature for the page. Oh those chickens! That's a lot of work! I saw lots of chicken patterns, but I don't like little fiddly bits. The different shapes really lend tension and interest to the page!

Thanks! These chickens are from the Emotional Support Chicken pattern that's been all over Ravelry and You Tube--surprisingly easy to make, and the shaping was good practice. (I also used up almost my entire collection of variegated yarn so now have half an empty shelf in my yarn closet, hooray!)
