This collection is AMAZING!

I loved the speech by America Ferrera in Barbie and thought part of it would work well with one of my 50th birthday photos.

It is indeed impossible to be a woman, especially in an age where everything seems to be about appearance.
I had a hard 2023 healthwise and I gained a lot of weight, for the first time ever my weight was all I could think about. I started judging myself by other people's standards and didn't take into account that I wasn't very well. Thankfully I am well now and the extra weight is nearly gone. When I took this photo in September I was nearly where I wanted to be. But this photo is real, lumps, bumps, and some seriously hard work. So it makes me happy.

Your journalling makes me very sad for you.
I experience the exact opposite for myself, I have never found it as easy to be a self-determined and independent woman as it is today, at least in the western world.
i know people who are very good-looking, but for some it's all they "have to offer". the allure of good looks doesn't last long and then it gets very, very boring.
I think you are a beautiful and extremely feminine woman with a unique charisma and you have every reason to be happy with yourself.

Thank you Nia. I forgot who I was for a moment there. Everything got wrapped up in 'looks' and that has never ever been me. I am very happy with me and I am exactly where I want to be now x
