Poem: Dec 12, 1945 by Turkish poet Nâzım Hikmet, who frequently wrote poems for his wife while imprisoned for his leftist leanings.

Gorgeous page and terrific redo! I love the black inked marks to look like reeds the birds are sitting on. The blended background and the placement of that beautiful poem, perfect. The black/white & gray is perfect for that winter feel. Congrats too on the standing O :) Well done!
 
WOW! This is such a striking page, it's subtle but stark and bleak at the same time. Very dramatic.
