JOURNALING:
Christmas always conjures up thoughts of traditional colors such as red, gold and green. Yet there is something magical about considering a Christmas in all shades of pink. A bold choice, perhaps even controversial for some, yet intriguing for those who want to put a new spin on the usual Christmas decorations.A majestic pink Christmas tree, pink Christmas lights and even a pink set table are a visual adventure in my daydreams.
Although this pink Christmas dream seems sparkly and contemporary, my heart remains true to the traditional colors that comfortably embrace me during the holidays. Red brings warmth, gold adds a touch of elegance, and green evokes the freshness of a winter pine tree
My husband and sons would very likely also prefer the usual warm tones of red and green. So, while I am enjoying this pink Christmas dream, I know that reality will probably stay true to the traditional colors that connect our family to the warmth and coziness of Christmas.
Sometimes it's enough to fantasize about bold changes, knowing that the true magic of the holidays lies in being together, no matter the color of the baubles or the ribbon on the presents. Perhaps a pink Christmas will remain an enchanting daydream, but in our hearts the traditional colors will always hold a special place during the most wonderful time of the year.
