Process
Solid paper 1 from APP Gather in Peace was used for the foundation of the page. APP Gather in Peace artsy 4 was layered above the solid paper. The grid was created by using the rectangle tool to draw a shape. The shape was repeated 11 more times, then merged together. APP Gather in Peace artsy paper 2 and solid paper 1were clipped to the grid. My photo of the yellow leaves (blending mode hard light) was clipped to the grid. I didn't want it to cover the entire grid, thus a layer mask was added to the photo and using the rectangle marquee tool, parts of the photo were blocked out and filled with black to hide the areas that I didn't want shown. Scattering Leaf 1 element was layered over the grid. This was highlighted using with "marching ants" (press ⌘-A (Ctrl+A)). The scattered leaf layer was turned off and with artsy paper 2 was highlighted, the leaf design was cut out of the paper, leaving solid paper 1 showing. A drop shadow was added to the artsy paper. The same technique was used for the title November. The grid was then filled with word art and dimensional embellishments. The page was completed by adding stains and splatters, and a transfer from AT Gather in Peace_5.
Saw this the other day, and just now getting back to study it. I loved the tile grid so much, and then today saw the cut-out leaves, will definitely be lifting that! Outstanding!
