October Art Journaling Challenge #2 - The Change of Seasons: A time for self-care!

Autumn has arrived and brings with it an invitation to rest, reflect and care for myself. It is a time of preparation for the winter days ahead.

Autumn invites me to turn inward, to my own inner world. It is a time to transform the bathroom into an oasis of rest and relaxation. I let the warm water flow, take a splash of fragrant shower oil and embrace the benefits of a long, soothing shower. I let the scent of flowers and herbs envelop me as I leave the hustle and bustle of the outside world behind. As the water flows along my skin, I feel the daily burden slip away from me. It is like a reminder of the natural purity we carry within us, a feeling that invigorates me and puts me in touch with my own essence.

Taking a shower offers me an unprecedented freedom. I can move, (gently) dance even, as the drops of water envelop my body like tiny pearls. I feel the energy flow, my muscles relax and my mind becomes clear. It is a moment of pure self-expression, a time when I can be completely myself. I take time to be truly present in the moment, to focus on my breathing and listen to the beating cadence of your heart.

Some claim that a bath is a sacred source of purification, but for me, the thought of soaking in my own water is not particularly comforting. A shower, on the other hand, literally washes the worries of the day from me. It's like a renewing shower after a long drought.

Autumn reminds me that self-care is not a luxury but a necessity. It is an investment in my own health and well-being, both physical and mental. So I allow myself those moments of rest and pampering.
