I am still working out how I'm going to do my titles. I think I'll start adding the dates of the letters in some fashion. I will go back and make them uniform. I have also changed my mind about putting the source on all photos. Photos sourced from other places will be noted. Photos of my dad's will not be noted. I'm not happy with the coloring on these photos. I'll return to those fixes later.
April 18, 1951, Training, Closer to the Front Line
This letter is about fun and games while training and moving closer to the front line. Dad is worried about whether or not to let his Ma know. Some foreshadowing in his thoughts about how 'the best men stop slugs and shrapnel, as do the dodo birds'.
I started with Travel Template Album 7 p4, clipped photos to all the masks, and the transcribed letter in text boxes to the fotoblendz with Eudaimonia SP4 (lightened) in between the text and the fotoblendz, then placed Eudaimonia Solid Paper 6 for the foundation. Embellished with paper textures, elements, transfers, and splatters.
