Journaling

Bill made Chief just before transferring to VAW112 in late 1968. The Squadron was stationed aboard the USS Enterprise in early Jan and headed for Hawaii for Carrier Qualifications and then would proceed for a 6 month Pacific Cruise. Unfortunately the Jan 14th Fire occurred. The Enterprise returned to Hawaii where repairs were made and the Pacific Cruise was underway again.
