The front line for Democracy runs through eastern Ukraine right now, and I'm thankful so many Americans, that in general don't vote in their best interests, are actually on the side of Ukraine. I'm hopeful and yes, it's going to stay very scary.

I endured Desert Shield/Storm as an Army wife with a 6 year old and a newborn! So quickly forgotten. I don't think the election will make the difference needed. Politics don't save- not the purpose. I do believe we are about to be shaken, and then awakened ( not the same as "woke") and then saving/restoration will come. But the shaking has to come first- there is too much that is out of order. Kinda like when one builds a house, all the digging, etc makes a big mess....at first. My two cents.

Yes, very scary, especially if you live in Europe, drive a few hours and you are in Ukraine. We don't know what the beast Putin is going to do. I can't even think about democracy now, especially when you see how the Ukraine is in ruins, the very poor people there, the children with fear in their eyes, and the poor children who have been deported by Putin to Russia, to go mad.

Your sacrifices are not forgotten. Good people always remember and are thankful for your family's service. Your words remind me of this sentiment: the vessel must be cracked to let in the light. I am hopeful that the light will soon shine brightly over the world. Democracy and goodness will be restored.
