The tallest shrubs at the Meadowlark Trail pullout turned out to be a favorite place for birds to visit, but they usually didn't stay when we took the path. The yellow-headed blackbirds didn't take off when we thought they would, so I enjoyed seeing some of their social interaction.

Yellow-headed blackbirds! There is a bird I would like to see out my window. I like that hint of an insect in the upper right ... breakfast :)
