Sweet - Tres Bon 2

I had this ready to post yesterday afternoon and almost finished with process notes and did it again! Accidentally hit the Back button and lost the whole thing. So, I have learned my lesson and will, from this day forward, be typing notes in Word to copy/paste here. It looks complicated, but it’s a lot of simple repetitions.

April, 2023
Ron goes for his sixth and final cancer treatment this Friday, April 21 and might get to ring the bell. We are thrilled that he made it through with few side effects and the treatment also seems to be working. He will require a PET scan to make sure, but his PSA has gone down considerably. When his hair fell out after one chemo treatment in June, he decided he likes it. And so do Tilly and I.

Process: I started with the photo extraction, blended into the Tres Bon 1-4 brush frame (blend mode Vivid Light, Opacity 56%) with a dark brown Color Fill Adj. Layer. Duplicated frame brush/color fill clipped set and applied blend mode Color Burn, 52%. Duplicated again, applied blend mode Luminosity, 53%. Duplicated the photo extraction/mask, applied Filter-Stylize-Find Edges, blend mode Multiply, 52%, then clipped dark brown Color Fill to it. Grouped all the frame/photo layers and placed Artsy Transfer Tres Bon 5 (rearranged and texture layer removed) at the bottom of the Group. I placed Tres Bon ScriptTease2 (Color Fill Adj Layer), MultiMedia Documents 3-4 (tickets removed) and Tres Bon Transfer4 below that. Embellished above with Tres Bon Wood WordArt ‘Sweet’ with a Layer Style, MultiMedia Hearts 5-1 (adjusting the colors of the all the hearts and pink fotoglow with Color Fill Adj. Layers), Tres Bon yellow flower, and yellow button (w/Color Fill Adj. Layers), UrbanThreadz 10-7, Wood Shop Christmas Bell. Finished with text box.

Love your journaling about this heavy journey. Hope it will turn out in the best way you can imagine.

Rooting for a positive outcome for Ron ... ring that bell! Love the subtle framing and hearts.

Rooting for a bell-ringing! Love that you included a bell. Ron and Tilly look good amongst the earth-toned artistry! Lovely page!
Oh, I've done the 'lost post' thing - I've actually hit Delete instead of Save, several times :-(

Another cheerleader for Ron here. What a journey and hoping to hear that bell from afar--I love how it is suspended from the hearts.
