Love your journaling! I think the older generation cooked to just keep the family alive, just add gravy. Wonderful page!
 
what a great journal page. love the story. I love to cook, but by the end of a long work day I'm sometimes happy with a bowl of oatmeal.
 
Your sentiment that the kitchen is the heart of a house really comes through in your writing and the lovely illustrations that accompany it. The use of different textures and colors in the page adds depth and interest.
 
Love that you put the photos in a book. Such a wonderful page with the images and journaling. Sheppard's Pie! There's something I haven't made in a while but my kids used to love.
