Phew, took me 10 days into 2023 to get my first page done (had to finish up 2022, then decide what I wanted to say about the start of 2023).
One large photo (not a reflection, just looking up at some very big trees in our neighborhood) blended using Scenic Template. I decided to leave the hard edge of the template on the sides of the photo.
Base and transfers are from ArtPlay Aspera. Glows and stars added from MultiMedia Stars.
That wooden "frame" is a photo of a local poetry box, extracted, with a graphic from Yoga with Adriene added.
I used the Pen Tool to create a custom text shape for the extract from a poem to fit inside the tree.

I make a double page pretty much every day, although sometimes I'll summarize a week in one page. At other times I've been known to have multiple pages for a day if something big is happening :) I try to include a calendar at the beginning of each month .
The tree is a London Plane tree, a sycamore. There are many in my neighborhood, all over 100 years old. Thanks for your compliments!

Well done you! I'm still plodding through my December Daily for 2022 and thinking that I really need to tackle 2021 LOL!

Very clever use of the sycamore trunk for part of your journaling.

Great start and you're way ahead of me now. So much to take in, and I especially like the strip on the left.. I'm still putting my 2022 stuff away. I got way behind when my computer died. :D
