FaLaLaLa
Daddy received transfer orders during the holidays. He would be gone at least 13 months. I helped him pack. Mom’s Christmas cards were still on display, but the excitement of the holidays quickly passed as he prepared to leave. Christmas, 1971.
Mom loved to decorate the Christmas tree. Teresa and I pose beside the tree. This would be our last Christmas in San Antonio. Memories linger. Teresa has those striped ornaments on her tree every year. And, I hang my cards on the window blinds.
