Remember how delightful it was to see the avocets and those milkweed flowers in the golden morning sun, even from quite a distance. It would be so nice if they were closer, but avocets need the shallow water that's over there, and they're safe from non-swimmers on that little island.

Oh that photo! Love the reflection on the water...and the light truly was golden. Love how you framed it in the book and then put the hand stitching underneath the photo to emphasize it. Beautiful as always!
