Process
A solid paper fromAPP Gallivant was used as the foundation of the page. The large photo was clipped to the fotoblendz mask and the smaller images were clipped to the frame masks. The historic marker was extracted. Artsy Transfers Gallivant 2 and 4 were added for dimension. The page was completed by adding journaling, word art and dimensional embellishments.
This is very cool - I love old cemeteries. We have one called Lone Fir in Portland that contains the graves of many Portland founders. I like the inclusion of the damaged trees - tells a story!
I like wandering around cemeteries and our bird club has a few trails through several so I'm loving your layout. I was reading recently that the open green space movement has its roots in cemeteries...designers started to notice that regular people were using them to connect with nature.
Interesting bit of history, here. These old cemeteries are so much more "personal" than the newer ones. Another terrific addition to your travel series.
Your background adds the perfect ambience to your art. One of my Texas relatives ceded property for a cemetery in the town of Waterford, TX. He was the first mayor of the town.
