"Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom."

Creating process:
1. When I saw this artsy paper, I immediately imagined a face on it. With the quick selection tool I selected the area, and with Ctrl+J I created a new layer from it. Then I chose one of my photos, and clipped it twice to the newly created layer (the 1st layer's blending mode: Color Burn, the 2nd's: Luminosity)
2. I placed elements onto the paper, and a smaller version of my photo in the frame.
3. I created the quote (fonts: Book Antiqua, allysha script).
4. To create the big word on the background I made a group and added a layer mask to it. With the quick selection tool I selected the 'torned paper area' of the artsy paper, and on the layermask I filled the selection with black.
5. In the group I created the big letters with stroke and 0% Fill onto separate layers. Finally I added a blank layer to the group. I selected the font layers with Ctrl+Shift+click onto the layer's thumbnails. Then I painted with a watercolor brush the selected area. When I was finished, I offset the layer a little bit.
