Journaling reads: Mom and dad celebrated 51 years of marriage the December before he died in Mar. 2003, mom in 2005. Mom had been in a nursing home for a couple of years after dad could no longer take care of her with Alzheimer’s disease. He tried to care for her as long as he could at home. He spent a lot of his days at the nursing home feeding her and taking naps with her, just to spend time with her. I love and miss them both!
