The Gallery of Geographical Maps was one of the most stunning rooms in the museum. The gallery takes its name from the series of topographical maps which line the walls. The maps were commissioned in 1580. The panels map the entirety of the Italian peninsula in large scale frescoes.
Great template album choice for these stunning photos and I like what you did with the offset frame on the left. Wish we had made it to the Vatican Museums but we were in the area on Marathon Day (how the heck did we manage to cross wires with THAT?) so pivoted and just wound up eating more lunch. No hardship there!
