Process: I started with a solid paper from ArtPlay Palette Archive. I duplicated it twice and the blending modes were set to Linear Burn for two and Multiply for the one in the top. Then I added a multimedia element from MultiMedia Documents No 3. I placed my photo and clipped it to one of the paper layers. I did three copies of it and the blending modes were set to Overlay, Color Burn and Normal, with a lower opacity for the two with Normal in the top. Then I moved all of the multimedia layers to the bottom of the layer stack. A transfer from ArtsyTransfers Archive was also placed in the bottom. An edge overlay from ArtPlay Palette Archive set to Linear Burn and also duplicated, was placed over the woman and another was placed at the left side of the page. A brush from NoteBook No 3 was duplicated and set to blending modes Overlay and Normal was added to the bottom right corner. A recolored brush from ArtPlay Palette Archive was placed next to it. The alpha got the blending mode Difference. I finished the layout with the wordart from Archive WordART Mix No 1.
I was immediately transported to a hotel we stayed at, that was popular a hundred years ago and is haunted. The colors, the typography, and the wrinkled paper.
