It looks so still, but it was not. Despite the wind warnings, we headed out to the Badlands, one of my favorite areas. But with 40+ mph gusts, we got turned back from the ridge, just like the hardier groups ahead of us. Is this the hike that caused me to overdo it? Probably, but no regrets, I love the Badlands.
