Love this. I wasn't around in 1930, but parts of Colorado still looked a lot like this in 1971 when I moved out from Phila. Love the sketch. Just like my family's NJ turnpike wrecker service garage when I was a kid.
 
Fantastic page and a true treasure for future generations. I love your photos and the service station sketch. I have very deep roots in Oklahoma and lived there for a number of years just before we came here. Going back soon, God willing! Thanks for sharing this wondrous trip!

Imagine ... $.25 to cross the bridge (tolls here just went to $7) and pavement all the way.
