"I first heard about the immersive Van Gogh experience via, where else, Instagram. It must have been at least 6 months ago. Doing some research, it turns out there are at least four “immersive” experiences touring the US, and reviews are mixed, but I enjoyed it.
I’ve wondered, with so much art and so many artists to choose from, why four different production companies would choose the same artist. Tod thought it was the number of paintings. That certainly helped to fill the room with not only numbers, but genres - portraits, self-portraits, landscapes, flowers. But I think it’s the story, one of discovery, adversity, and ultimately, tragedy. And perhaps the art lends itself to animation."
