I knitted over 30 pumpkins from scrap yarn in my stash and delivered them to my daughter's market. The idea was to offer them for adoption for a donation to local charities. I kind of went wild with the colors and patterns, though there were also a slew of more traditional creations offered. To date the pumpkins have raised over $600.
Process:
This was a fiddly layout for me because after I blended the photo into the background, I had to get the pumpkins fitting into the wagon and extractions are not my thing. I proceeded in my usual imprecise way, doing the best I could, then hid any particularly raw edges under other design elements. The background consists of an artsy paper over another artsy paper on color burn blend mode at reduced opacity. To tie the design together at the end I used a few stains from the APP's brush set and colored them yellow, to form a visual triangle.
