End of Summer

September Challenge #2 - Double Scraplift at Oscraps— https://oscraps.com/community/threads/s ... 044/unread
I lifted these two pages:
https://oscraps.com/community/media/eva ... na.355123/
https://oscraps.com/community/media/end ... er.354990/

I used the technique describes in the credits of the first page to create the background and textures of my page. I also used the photo placement from that one. From the second page, I was inspired by the subject matter and kit. I also lifted the masking of the beach photo and clustering as well.

I opened a blank document, then dragged several of the accents onto that it. I desaturated, resized them as needed, and then merged visible layers to create the mask I followed Eva's process quite closely to make the textured overlay. Then I clipped my large photo to the mask and erased some areas to give the mask a tiny bit more textures. When that was done, I added some elements for the clusters and some stitches to hold down the smaller photo.

I love the beautiful colours around the photos. The seagull looks so funny, they make me laugh & remind me of summer. It’s a good photo. It’s a good page to say goodbye to summer.

I love the diagonal layout that draws the eye from corner to corner! Great photos, layers and elements! Thanks for participating, Chris!

The closed sign gets me. So many memories of going when everything was closed up and how cold it is but still at least a few birds. Love the white flowers that say summer.

This is a great page. Wonderful work creating the mask. I love how you used the framed photo to draw focus to that sweet bird.
