A companion page for my page about our walk along the Mackenzie River (previously uploaded). It was a fun afternoon of walking, climbing trees and a splash in the river for the dogs.
Process An artsy paper is the foundation for this layout. I placed three copies of my focal image onto the paper, with the second copy being adjusted to a black and white image. Blending modes of hard light, darken and screen (72% opacity) applied. The images were further blending via layer masks and brushes on each copy. My secondary image is a black and white image which was placed into the background and blended with the use of a layer mask and brushes. The frames from Artsy Layered Template No. 275 were dragged onto my layout and supporting images and an artsy paper were clipped to the frame mask layers. An edge overlay, artstroke and gold transfer were placed into the background and a word transfer placed on top of one of the photos. The .psd version of Assemblage Overlays No.2_3 was also placed into the background, hiding some of the layers to better suit my layout. Wordart and a ribbon completed the page.
Your photo treatment of the background really makes DJ (I love this girl that I don't even know ;-) ) Love the way she is also peeking out from the line of photos. Beautiful all around
