I messed up the gauge on a sweater I knit for my grandson so it's too small for him...BUT my granddaughter sure seemed happy to add it to her wardrobe.
I concentrated my artsy effects in the background, doing a lot of layering and blending of papers and transfers, but I just couldn't bring myself to “artify” Harper's sweet face. It was an easy layout, based on using four artsy papers from the Artplay Palette on different blending modes, then adding various bits and pieces of the multimedia elements for more background interest as well as one of the multimedia elements in totality to hold the text. The photo is just blended into all of that, with various parts masked away with a layer mask.
Oh my gosh this is so adorable!! What a beautiful little girl (hmmm, Oz may be jealous of that hair ;-) The background is beautiful - sets her off without competing. Love how she looks to be holding the note! Oh and great sweater! I never got gauge, never will ;-)
SOO cute, Laura! The note she's holding, made me smile a lot. The sweater looks great on her too. I bet she does hope you make her another one. Love the page very much!
She's darling! Grandma is going to have to twice as much knitting to keep up!
I had a look at your Instagram feed. Your knitting projects are beautiful! Keeping the family warm one sweater/hat/blanket at at time. Oh, and the wrap for you wedding ensemble is outstanding.
