The Brilliance

On Saturday, others started early like we did, so we felt very lucky to get to stop in the middle of the bridge to watch the sunrise. We went much faster than the day before, and finished the 11-mile loop in exactly an hour. The golden hour. We saw a heron, tundra swans, and cormorants.

Another beautiful day. I love the photo spanning two pages. I think pages like this look really good in book form. The inset photo is fantastic.

Wow. This is fantastic. I think the Great Blues are my spirit bird. I was surprised to find out in my ornithology class the other day that they're a murderous bird. In attack mode, they go straight for the face/eyes/brain and they pack a wallop. There actually are documented heron murders. "Social distancing" ... definitely!

The Heron stands out brilliantly with the tall grasses in the background love the smaller framed photo.x
