Dunes Sand

I'm afraid there will be several more pages about sand :) (but I am only posting a portion of what I am creating - I loved these sand dunes!)

There were no significant dunes on my childhood beaches of New Jersey, at least none that I recall. Ocean City Maryland has great dunes, but they are all fenced off, one is not allowed to walk on them. The Oregon Dunes are wide open, huge, full of beautiful grasses, tons of sand (literally), and available for climbing, sliding, playing. I loved climbing dunes, my feet sliding back almost as far as I stepped forward, my boots filling with sand, the sense of accomplishment once at the top of a dune. It was hard work, but it was fun.
I don't blame you for making the sand and beach pages! The photos have been amazing! I have always felt some things deserve more than one page!

One kind of dunes I've never seen are those corduroy dunes on the right. All your photos are great.

The dunes on the Oregon Coast are awesome, makes you wonder how they are formed. Just walking in sand can be challenging, let alone climbing a dune. My hat's off to you. Wonder spread and I can feel your delight.

Amazing photos and design. I understand the fascination, I grew up near the Indiana Dunes State Park.
