Argentine Pass

aA paper, thin strip masks, fotoblends, pencil lines,

Argentine Pass: Only the eastern side is drivable. It was once a stage road. Over time rocks have filled in leaving only a faint outline of the old road.

Most if not all jeep roads in Colorado were created to get to the mines, and in the valley just below the top of Argentine Pass, I thought about those miners and how they might have loved their lives out in remote places with beautiful vistas even though the work was hard,, the hours long, and pay wasn't much.
wonderful sketch effect spanning the pages! I don't think about it much but I bet they did love those virgin vistas and the freedom of the outdoors!

What a gorgeous scene! The colors and the photo treatment are wonderful. Congrats on your GSO!

Congrats on the GSO :)
the page is so beautiful, those soft tones that still have the vobrant feeling of nature.... beautiful typography too :)

Now, question: is this in actual Argentine or Colorado and the road is/was called by that name?
I'm not a native English speakers, so, it isn't very clear to me...would be the USA miners going to Argentina to work or the Argentine go to the USA?

I grew up in between Argentina & Brazil, have family in both countries, so this not just called my attention as the page is wonderful, but got me curious :)
