Half an hour north of Buena Vista and still before breakfast, we took the turnoff for Twin Lakes. We saw the lake and knew we had finally escaped. We got out and enjoyed the view of pink on the horizon and the moon setting, and I got to appreciate the low light capability of my new cellphone.
