When there are times that I want to use only one particular kit on a page, it forces me to be really creative in altering elements to the way I want them to look. For this page, I wanted to use a clipping mask on my photo so I made my own. I started with the book cover file and put the floral cut paper over it. I Desaturated both of them and merged them together. I then took a grungy brush and erased parts of the "mask." After I clipped my photo to the mask, I used a black brush to smooth out any area on the mask that needed a little boost. I clipped the frame over the cut paper rat and created new floral sections with the lasso tool Layer via Copy.
