These are the photos as we drove the final stretch back to Phoenix - we saw there was a bad weather ahead and so we stopped - it was a good thing because there were flash flooding ahead - but the roads were dry when we got there

That title jumped out at me from the gallery... Love it! No place like home! And I Love that picture, love that road! Perfect how you semi framed it with the other photos... great idea. Turned out so well.... glad you got home safe and sound!

Glad you didn't get washed away. The pancakes were a wise choice because Evanston to Phx is a long day. It's only half an hour longer to go by way of Vegas, though. Waze wasn't all that crazy, actually.

Very dramatic, both the scenery and the weather. Such a big sky and what looks like a huge storm. Great story-telling page.

Love the photo of the endless road! I'm always leery of the ominous sky when we're on our road trips! And my dh doesn't pull over ... just keeps on driving!

Homecoming is bittersweet after a trip, but I'm usually in the "home sweet home" camp. Glad you had a successful return!
