the Green Hornworm, otherwise known as the Tomato Hornworm
Oh this brings back something I have not thought about for many years. When I was a little girl, my grandmother had a complete kitchen garden, including many tomatoes. And she could spy these hornworms, and she'd pick them off and crush them with her shoe. I would look where she pointed them out and couldn't see them. I didn't know they developed into the sphinx moth, which is the subject of an Inspector Montalbano story I happen to be reading. We're fighting with an opossum for our tomatoes :)

Amazing photograph of this little garden pest...the green/red-orange combo really stand out! Great job creating depth with the grasses in front and soft clouds in the back!

Amazing photo and art. Love the focus on the worm. Thanks for playing along.

Oh my word.... don't know if I'm terrified or memorised by this caterpillar! It's just one of those things! The brush work and colors made for a wonderful layout!
