The Driver

I just finished reading the book "The Art of Racing in the Rain." It gave me some insight into what my husband and son are thinking when they race. (The book is a tear jerker, but a good read)

Process
Page 7 from the HipsterPlume Template Album was opened up. A solid paper from APP Bravura was used as the foundation of the page. The smaller photos were clipped to the frame masks. A solid paper from APP Antiquity was clipped to the larger fotoblendz mask. The head shots were changed to black and white and clipped to a Brumal fotomask, then resized to fit in the area. The banner was recolored by clipping bits of paper to the triangle shapes. Brushes and overlays were added to give the page a gritty vibe.

Thank you for looking!
Love your photos and your quote. Exactly what it's like with the Jeep, too.

The relationship with the dog (too raw, still, for me) is what's keeping me from that book...but I do understand (all too well) the emotional aspect of it. I like how you zoomed into the faces in this layout. That's what it's all about to me. I find myself going more and more after the poignant closeup, whether of people or places. It's all in the details....
