52 Inspirations 2018 - no 3 https://www.oscraps.com/shop/52-2018-no-3.html
I had to go looking through some bird pictures when I saw this palette. Spotted the pictures of Mr. Cardinal in the flowering crab apple tree and thought - perfect.
Process - Started with Artsy-Layered-Template-No 199. I had two pictures I really loved and a third one I was so - so about. Well this has overlapping frames. Seems like a good place to use the so-so photo. So first I added the two good pictures to the full frames using Layer>Create Clipping Mask. Then I added the so-so photo to the partially exposed the frame. Then I made a copy and turned it BW. I added a mask to the BW layer and painted over the bird with black giving the photo the selected color look.
Now I added Artsy Paper 4 to the template above the background. Next I played with all the layers of the template. I added green and blue to many of the layers to give that green leaf and blue sky look to the page. I left the white layers white. I turned off a couple of layers.
Now Artsy Paper 4 has an embossed bird on it but it gets hidden under some of the other layers. So I add Transfer 9 in about the same spot but on top of all the layers. I use Hue/Saturation to play with the blue to make it more blue-green. Now I play with various ArtsyPaint 7 brushes liking how I can add subtle bits of blue and green to the page.
I place the birdhouse in the corner formed by the two rows of frames. I go into my word art collection and find the "Dapper Dude." which seems perfect. Last a little journaling and the page seems complete. Simple so my bright red Mr. Cardinal stands out of the page.
