Every once in a while I like to play with just brushes. Anna's new SeaShells brushes were perfect, kept me occupied for a while. And away from the cookies that I just baked cooling on the rack.

Process notes:
I used patternPaper No. 1 to create my background. I stamped the chambered nautilus brush in the center of the page. I duplicated it and move it slightly to the right to create a shadow. I clipped a photo of a real nautilus to the brush, I reversed masked in some section, used the vivid light overlay at 48%. I used the following blend modes: pattern of gold layer @ 32% opacity, color overlay in burgundy @ 73%, satin recolored salmon pink multiply @ 100. I created separate layers using the side pull down menu of create layers. I used more of the shell brushes to create dimension underneath the nautilus, recoloring them in varying shades of burgundy and set them on color burn mode. I made a composite layer (cmd+shf+opt+e), converted it to a smart object, used a PS cutout filter set on overlay @ 35% opacity. WordArt was my final touch.
Thanks for looking.
