Easter is a day of rejoicing for Christians,
because it commemorates the resurrection of Christ. The word "Easter" comes from "Pesach",
a word for the Jewish Passover that celebrates the exit of the Israelites from Egypt.
Indeed, the passion of Christ took place during the Pesach holidays,
that Jesus then celebrated as a Jew. Some symbols are
common to both festivals, such as the paschal lamb, the unleavened bread and the egg.
