The woman on the far left is my great grandmother. I will have to check with my mother to see if she recognizes any of the other people. This photo makes me happy because Grandma Mandy is actually smiling! In fact, they all look quite happy!

Process...
I wanted to see if it was possible to take Anna's building brushes and give them that sketchy look. I also wanted a BIG look because you just don't see Grandma Mandy smiling very often. I layered the brushes and colored them. I wasn't really very "neat" about the whole process because I wasn't sure if it would work. After making a city I merged all the layers and ran them through the sketch filter. I had to do it a couple of times and layer the different sketches, then mask out the areas I didn't like in each one. Once I had a complete sketch, I merged the layers and made one additional copy. I added a drop shadow to the new copy and masked out portions giving some dimension to the buildings. I added the acrylic alpha behind this second city layer. The photo is in terrible shape! No patience to try to take out all the creases and I never end up with a good result. So the creases get to stay! Added a drop shadow behind the image, then layered some of the different strokes brushes over the bottom both to hold it down and give me a place to put my notes about the who, what, and when.

If this wasn't very clear, which is very possible, and you have any questions about the process, just send me a message :)

Thanks for looking.
