The Dunas de Maspalomas nature reserve is located at the southernmost point of Gran Canaria - an impressive dune landscape extending over 5 km2. Because of the unique characteristics of the landscape you imagine yourself in the Sahara. The dunes reach heights of 10 meters. Because of the ever-present sea breeze they are constantly changing shape and they move annually by a meter in a westerly direction.
