We inherited this photograph and I think that this gentleman is my husband's grandfather as a young man - he's not so sure but what does he know! I will do another page with my photographic forensic evidence later

There was a lot of faffing around with the new artplay but in the end I settled for clipping paper to the new fotoblendz and spent most of my time playing around with blending modes! I masked the photograph then extracted the figure, duplicated and selected color burn for both layers; behind are transfers on color mode and an artsy paper clipped to one of the fotoblendz, duplicated and on color burn mode. The photograph is duplicated again, masked and enlarged to focus on the eyes, this time Hard light mode. The wordart was duplicated and I used invert to change the top layer to white then erased the parts I didn't want allowing the white to be dominant over the black suit. The decision to leave the background light wasn't taken lightly, but after much debate and trial and error! I really wanted texture so used one of the artsy papers changed to hard light which gave me the splatters and texture on the right hand side.
