There are a couple of back stories to this LO. First off, 46 years ago, the quality and quantity of wedding pictures was bleak. But our marriage has lasted longer than most, so I guess the number of photos isn't that important.
At that time of my life, blue was my favorite color, so it only seemed logical I would choose it as the accent color for our wedding. But Dave's mother, who was against our marriage, and pretty nasty to me before and after the wedding, also loved blue. So was I going to choose it for our wedding? NO WAY! Instead, I picked the color I had loved as a little girl, yellow, because "it's a happy color." And that was a long time before Smiley Face ever existed!
The other story is the implement you see in the photo from which we are drinking our "toast (yellow punch)." It is a 2-part silver wedding toast cup from my Aunt Mary. The two parts swivel, so the bride and groom can drink from the same cup at the same time. I hadn't seen one before, nor have I since.
I love that I can dress up my few pathetic wedding photos with all the yumminess of digital elements.
