Capitola by the Sea is a little town in Northern CA just south of Santa Cruz. It was the closest beach town to San Jose (had to go over the coast mountains though, not a fun drive). There was a little motel on the edge of the water that looked a bit like this :-)

It sounds wonderful. If the motel looked like this, and near the water, I'd really like it. ♥
