Challenge 3: Sand Flats & La Sal Junction

Arriving at this road made us feel so much safer, and like we had accomplished something big. Still no phone signal and an hour out of Moab, but we had become so aware that our risk on remote trips like this was exponentially higher than just a few years ago.

The cascade of snowflakes is bold and beautiful, and bisecting the page along a diagonal is intriguing--will try it. I get your journaling. It reminded me of certain tense moments when driving Iceland's remote Snaefellsnes Peninsula in a rental car from the SAD Car Company (really). Also conscious of this as we plan our Fall getaway to NM/CO/AZ.

Wow! What a beautiful page. I love that photo...you really do take the most wonderful trips. Love the gorgeous snowflakes that you used on this page...really tied in well with the cold photos. But most of all, I love your journaling. I totally felt the emotions of that writing and shared some of them.

Our rule is if we don't have the energy or time to walk to safety we'd better not go, but of course we push that definition and our luck a bit because there's almost always a surprise. We carry lots of water and our Jeep is rigged out with almost everything we keep in our RV. Good luck and DM me if you think I can add to your trip, because our luck comes out of so much experience and planning. ;)

LOVE the snowflakes! It's important to know your limits when adventuring. I'm the one who is always pushing my husband, but he's the voice of reason lately. Beautiful photos of the sun rising over the mountains and reflecting on the snow!

Very beautiful how the snowflakes whirl diagonally through your beautiful design, you continue to amaze me with your creativity.
