Brave: Following her heritage back to Sweden, in 1938 my aunt sailed to Sweden to attend Medical School and become a physician. Early war activity made it unsafe for single women to be in the country and she had to return to America where she continued practicing nursing until her marriage.

Process:
On a new canvas, APP ArtsyPaper was placed embedded, and the palette frame added. My photo was drug onto the frame mask and clipped. Artsy Transfers Bravura 4 was placed beneath the frame in the layers stack. Palette art strokes and transfers were added to balance the layout. Photo of ship and my census record were clipped to a mask. MM Flowers, palette flowers and story text finished the page.
