Sibling relationships are simple, complicated, and in my opinion- essential. Seeing the way my DD worships her older brother is bittersweet because he doesn't realize the sheer amount of good or harm he can do with his influence. I know soon he won't want her shadowing his every move, and that makes me want to cry. As a mom I'm not sure how to nurture this relationship while allowing them to experiment and learn what it is to be part of a family, But for now, here are my two best friends: the shadow and the hero.
