Beckoned
(As seen on the cover of The Artisan Notebook, August, 2008)

This is Eleanor, at a medieval fair our homeschool group put together this spring. I was calling her to come back, but fortuitously she did not cooperate and instead gave me this cunning little askance over the shoulder glance. Sometimeswhen you are not yet two, willfullness can be beguiling.

The banner reads:
I hear a voice you cannot hear that says I must not stay.
I see a hand you cannot see that beckons me away
- Thomas Tickell

My great grandmothers broken spectacles, photgraphed, extracted and worked on to get the lenses to be transparent. Im actually offering the specs as a freebie on my blog today:

one wee Door from Jen Ulaseiwicz

a wee bit of grass from: createwings Wonderland

a wee bit of water reed from: Madame Mim Guineveres Tale

The table top is Paint The Moon Weathered Backgrounds

a wee letter I from Microferk Medieval on the banner

Candlestick Nino Barbeiri

I honestly dont know if Ive ever spent as much time on a layout as I did on this one! But, I feel like I really stretched myself and learned a lot. Im so honored to be guesting for Lorie Davison this month. I think I did okay with this one. Thanks for looking, and as always, your comments mean the world to me!
Oh, I immediately added to my favorites! What a work of art this is! She looks like a mischievous little fairy here--what a wonderful and magical piece!
