. . . of a foggy morning. Thought I would create a companion page to my previous layout of the same morning. My daughter with her father frolicking in the waves.
Journaling: A day at the beach, even in August will not always be the perfect, picture postcard day. As far as Im concerned, it doesnt have to be, because when Im on the beach, Im in my world. I revel in the moods of the ocean and I find it incredibly calming.
On this particular morning my family and I didnt let the fog upset us, after all, it was so warm and we had the whole beach to ourselves. Not another living soul was around to disturb the silence. Just us. That to me, was perfection, because it felt like we had the whole Pacific Ocean to ourselves. Im so happy I recorded it on film all those many years ago.

Notes: Starting with pattern paper 1 and bringing in the linear fotoblendz and placing, using the transform tool, I stretched the mask across the page. I clipped the photo to it. I duplicated the photo and blended to Overlay. The art stroke over it was recolored to white and the opacity turned way down.
Underneath the photo I placed two transfers and one transfer over the photo layer. The transfers are at the top left and at the right. Bringing in another fotoblendz underneath the first clipping set, and clipped the chevron paper to it to add some pattern. A tissue textures extends from it over the third transfer.
Using the psd frame and grouping it, I clipped the second photo to the mask and labeled it with the place and the date. Also at this time, the word art was added and recolored with a bit of journaling added to the title.
The grass was brought in and duplicated and some modification done with a layer mask. In between the grasses, I slipped in the postage stamp and starfish. With brushes from the kit, I tossed some sand on them, using a color from the palette. Opening the flip-flops from Ellas beach brushset, I colored them with a PS watercolor brush and used a glitter and sticker styles to farther enhance them.
Finally, I added my journaling to finish the page.
